Just a quick update.
We're still in the midst of this monster storm. Hopefully by late afternoon we'll be able to leave the house to begin shoveling. We had hurricane force winds last night but thankfully we didn't lose power.
It's still snowing here and they're expecting we'll end up with anywhere from 26 to 32 inches before it blows out.
Even though I normally enjoy shoveling, this really looks like it's going to be a major ordeal. I'm starting to get cabin fever but keeping ourselves safe is the number one priority.
Thanks to everyone for all your positive thoughts. Talk to you later.
Hey I got first! LOL. That never happens! Glad to hear you guys are doing okay. Thats definitely more snow than I've ever seen at once. Stay safe and enjoy your snowed in time together! *hugs*
ReplyDeleteDon't hurt yourself shoveling, Matty! I know you're a strapping young lad, lol, and I know you'll want to help your neighbors, but take care of your back--don't try and do too much at once. And remember, BEND AT THE KNEES!! *insert dirty joke here*
ReplyDeleteHi Bradley and Matty,
ReplyDeleteThe storm is over in NYC. All is calm here. We only received 12" in Manhattan.
Matty, I know how you love to shovel snow, and I'm not saying don't do any once the snow stops falling, but please take it easy. Shoveling too vigorously can hurt you at any age, and I don't want Bradley outside having to drag your unconscious body up the front steps, OK? :)
Hope both of you enjoy your weekend winter wonderland inside and out. Hugs all around.
That's great you didn't lose power. You're smart to put safety first even though you hate confinement. Thanks for updating us in the middle of the mess and stay safe.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update, Matt. It sounds like a fierce storm alright, I'm glad the power stayed on.
ReplyDeleteKeep cozy.
I think you should design a snowman or snow sculpture while you're still housebound. What about a large snow penguin? You've had practise on the small ones, now is the time to think big! :D
Glad to know you're both okay over there. Thinking of you. *hugs*
ReplyDeleteGlad you all are ok:)

Bradley and Matty,
ReplyDeleteNow that the snow has stopped falling there is more good news - Monday should bring temps in the mid 40's and rain, which should go a long way toward getting rid of a lot of this snow. :)
Hope all is well with you two, and you are still safe and warm.
Stay safe and don't over-exert yourself.
ReplyDeleteI presume you are all dug out now. It is when there is weather like this past storm that I am thankful to live in a condo where we are dug out (repeatedly) and I can walk to my 7 Eleven to grab necessities like chips and salsa. :-)
