Happy Gobble, Gobble Day!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Both of us will be spending time with family and friends today. First it's off to Matt's family and then time with Brad's family.

Our contribution to the meals we'll be enjoying today will be Brad's delicious home-baked pumpkin and apple pies! Yummy!

Matt's contribution will be, well, himself enjoying the company of family and friends and, of course, savouring those pies!

Once we get back home from the family visits, we've invited four of our friends to spend the evening with us for some fun movies, good conversation, and a little Thanksgiving Dessert Celebration. Brad made some special pastries for the six of us and we'll be brewing a special Thanksgiving coffee, which is described as a "heavy-bodied blend with notes of milk chocolate and a hint of cinnamon." What a nice way to end the day, huh?

Before we end this post, we want to use this Thanksgiving holiday to say how thankful we are for each one of you we've been privileged to meet. It's so cool to know we have friends from all over the world who take the time to share in our journey, give us helpful things to think about when we're going through rough stretches, cheer us on when we do things we're proud of, and to laugh with us over some of the humorous things we find ourselves in. Each of you are very special and it means a lot when you share a little of yourselves with us!

If you're traveling over the holiday, please be safe. Take care!

Big Hugs from The Gobble, Gobble Boys!

  1. Aaw you guys! You make my day brighter too. Brad, don't feel too bad about your contributions. I'm married to the chef in the family. I'm the cleanup crew lol so I don't feel totally useless. We made that deal back in the beginning before I knew he uses every single utensil & bowl we own! Enjoy your long weekend & travel safely.

  15. Brad, do you think you'd like to be a pastry chef someday?

Matty, it's obvious you contribute plenty!

    1. I've actually thought of specializing in pastries, K.Z., since I absolutely LOVE baking and it seems the things I make always turn out pretty good. Plus I find baking extremely relaxing for some reason.

I guess it's too early to settle on things right now, but I definitely love pastries!
