A Few of My Favorite Things

These are not, of course, the only favorites I have in each category. Just the ones that popped in my mind at the moment.

FAVORITE DESSERT:
Haha! What were you expecting? It's actually a little too sweet for my taste, but maybe I like it because of the name. Who knows?



FAVORITE "NUTRITIOUS" SNACK:
This stuff is nutritious, right? (Pretty please, with a dab of Nutella on top?)                

ONE FAVORITE BLOG (out of many who will be named later):

So now it's your turn. What are some of your favorites? (P.S., I will ignore all comments that tell me Nutella is not nutritious. LOL)

  1. According to the ads, Nutella is made with 24 hazelnuts and skim milk and a "hint" of cocoa. (I think hint means a cup or so, but I have no proof of this), so totally nutritious.

    Favourite day - Monday coming - it's a holiday for us.

    Favourite Olympian - I'll go with our swimmer Mark Hayden, tattoos baby.

    Favourite city - New York

    Favourite child - my daughter (Ha! she wins by default being an only :-D)

    Favourite pizza - Hawaiian with bacon

    Favourite way to spell favourite - with a u of course. :-P

      Are you talking about the Canadian swimmer, Brent Hayden? Man, oh man, his tatts are nice!

      You probably meant to say "Boston" as your favo(u)rite city! (just kidding!)

      That's sweet you picked your daughter. Doesn't matter if she's an only!

      Never tried Hawaiian with bacon pizza! Will have to check that one out!

      And of course you would pick "favourite" as your favourite way to spell favourite!! LOL! ;-)

    No comments here about Nutella, because I have never tried it. But as for you choosing Spotted Dick as your favorite dessert because of the name? - I would expect you to steer clear of something called that - I know I would. :)

    Fav Dessert - Haagen Daz Chocolate Ice Cream

    Fav Nutritious Snack - Health Valley 'Peanut' Cereal Bar

    Fav Blog - Are you kidding? '2 Boys In Love', of course. And I am not just sucking up. This blog is the BEST!

    Fav Olympic Swimmer - I agree with Ryan Lockte. But we can share, right, Matty? There seems to be enough there for two. And if Bradley is interested, I don't mind if he watches. :)

    1. Yeah, when I first discovered that great delicacy, Spotted Dick (man, I love just saying that!!), I was highly conflicted about it. The Brits have a wonderful sense of humo(u)r, and now I love telling people I had some Spotted Dick last night!

  5. I think Nutella is nutritious but you can't eat too much of it. Moderation comes into play for Nutella, but I'm just going off of what I heard since I don't like nor eat Nutella *gasps* I know. I dont do nuts of any kind *very lewd grin* lol Alright I do some nuts ^_^


    Fave Dessert- Grapenut Ice cream. It's ne of those speciality ice cream that's a bit on the expensive side to buy in Canada. I loved it as a kid growing up in Jamaica, and the last time I went there I ate 2L tub of it. I was like 16 then. I can't pull that shit off now

    Fave Snack- I don't really snack, but I do eat my kids Oatmeal cookies, and I always steal their Gushers *gawd I love that stuff*

    Fave Misic- Kpop (Korean Pop) I love that stuff a hella lot. And the boys are so pretty that it's also great eye candy.

    Fave Cities - Seoul & Tokyo (never been there but I love them anyways)

    Those are just a few of my fave things, I have a truck load.

      I haven't caught men's gymnastics, so I'm not familiar with Leyva. I just looked at some pics of him, and what arms that man has (in addition to a killer smile, too). I'll have to read up on his relationship with his stepdad.

      "In the aisle behind the lower bowl of the gymnastics venue, running around like an overcaffeinated madman shouting, “Vamos!” and “That’s my boy!” is a man who helped Danell Leyva become one of the medal favorites.

      While Leyva competed in qualifying Saturday, even when hiding under his lucky green towel to shut himself off from the world, he could hear that man cry out, “You’re the best, baby!”

  7. Matt: Spotted dick in a can makes an expected return! You forgot to mention your favorite piece of clothing: Speedos! I do agree with you, if you want to oogle eye candy (don't worry, it's calorie-free) swimmers, divers, and gymnasts are the athletes to watch.

  8. This is a cute post, Matt. I'm enjoying reading everybody's comments. Okay, here we go.

    Favorite dessert: lemon meringue pie (Did you really try the spotted dick? It scares me a little.)
    Favorite blog: This one is easy. I visited "2 Boys in Love" one time and was roped in by the adorableness. (It's like you two are jockstrap cowboys or something!) *hugs*
    Favorite city: My family would say St. Louis. My husband and son are just packing up to head to a Cardinals game tonight. *Note to Brad: Aren't men in ballcaps just the sexiest? :)
    Favorite Olympic swimmer: I see you found Tom Daley!! I checked out your Ryan Lochte - very nice. There's definitely no shortage of beauty when it comes to the Olympics.

      Yep, I definitely tried the Spotted Dick (I'm referring to the one from the can, not the other one attached to a certain beautiful guy's body... but I've tried that one, too. That one's significantly better, BTW!)

      Brad's at work right now but I'm sure he would answer "yes" to your question about baseball caps! (Trying hard not to be presumptuous here, but, well... lol)

      The problem with the winter games is that all the athletes have to wear too many damn clothes!! ;-)

      It's funny, but Brad will sometimes go to bed early and his lack of sleep comes when I go to bed!! I mean, after watching all that skin I need me some lovin'! ;-)

    Favorite Olympic Swimmer/Athlete: Gawd....just too many to mention. But, I really, really love the diving! You should be watching it everyday just for the speedos Matty!! And, you need to let Bradley rest just a little bit....LOL.

    Oh, and I don't like Nutella. *gasp* (runs to hide...)

  14. Favourite dessert: Rice Pudding - a classic. I make it with soya milk & it's just as tasty.

    Favourite snack: Nakd raw wholefood bars - yummy AND healthy!

    Favourite blogs ( can I mention my top 3?) : "2 boys in love" without any doubt! Also "Thorny,
    not prickly" and "Stumbling over Chaos"
    This is a great idea for a post. It's fun reading what everyone has picked. Making me hungry though :D

  17. Great post Matt!
    Being from the east coast of the atlantic lake(!), spotted dick is well known. Though my favourite pudding would have to be a really rich chocolate mousse - or anything choclatey. And Nutella is always in the cupboard in our house.
    Fave summer activity, reading in the garden with a glass of wine( or two)
    Saw hockey at the Olympics last week - outfits far too baggy! Anything short and lycra for me ( cyclists, swimmers, sprinters), though everytime i see the mens beach volley ball they get more covered over!
