Please, please watch this. Please.

This is one of the most beautiful and moving things I've seen in a long time. It's amazing to me how something only 1 minute 40 seconds long can touch me to my core. I've watched it 3 or 4 times already and I still get choked up.

  2. Matt,

I have to remember to check out your site BEFORE I put on my make-up for the work day. Saves re-applying.

That video was beyond beautiful and beyond words.

  4. I haven't cried happy tears in ages... And I will still be crying even if i see this for the 10000...00th time.
Thank you Matt, my belief in reaching a 'beautiful someday' has yet again been strengthened.

  6. I saw this a few days ago--went to the website and signed the petition. Some day Matty...some day soon this will be our truth as a people--some day I will stand at your wedding...and what a glorious day that will be...when who we love and how we love all blurs together and freedom is born--freedom to embrace the man or woman we love without fear...without shame.

I am so sorry if this sounds like I am a broken record--but your blog Matty and Bradley--your blog is part of the catalyst for change--a place that proudly announces we are 2 BOYS IN LOVE and there could be nothing more right and good than that in this world!!!

Thank you dear, dear boys--thank you for stepping forward and standing up for those who cannot speak for themselves--thank you for being so strong and so courageous.

  7. I've seen it before, too. And AGAIN it made me cry. I still can't wrap my mind around the fact there are coldhearted a-holes who wouldn't find this vid beautiful and moving.

  11. Matty: One day that will be you and Brad -- and hopefully you will find a way to be just as romantic.

  12. Thanks for posting that - I hadn't seen it and it is just lovely. One day the emotional truth of that will be acknowledged in every state in this nation.

  13. Tonight, I had to listen and not respond as my father talked about how gays have ruined every thing in this country. Then later in bed, I saw your post and watched the clip, and wow, that is powerful!
You think maybe one day my father might accept us?
Thanks you two boys in love, for sharing with us, your adoring fans :)

    1. People do change. Only time will show how far your father can travel down the road to acceptance; I hope with all my heart that eventually he does accept that love comes in all forms and all combinations, and that it is always valuable and true and real.

Until then, believe all of us here when we say you are just one more normal guy, entitled to feel what you feel, desire whom you desire, and love where you experience love. There is nothing wrong with you or with any of us. (There's something very right about those two men in the video, about Matt and Brad, about love in all its variations.) I hope you have other people in your life to give you support, as you wait and hope for your father to leave his prejudices behind.

    2. I agree with everything Kaje said. It really is important to have hope. In the meantime, I think it's really important to make sure you know other people who are capable of accepting you for who you are. Glad you stopped by and saw the video.

  14. I posted it on my facebook a few days ago. I know my family doesn't believe the way I do about gay marriage, but I'll fight for it until it's equal everywhere. My best friend and his husband were able to get married in California before things went to hell, and I've never seen him happier than when he came back, married to the love of his life. Everyone should have that, EVERYONE. I'm glad you posted it for all to see, because it's a very powerful message. Love you guys, and I sincerely hope your future is as bright as the couple in this video.

  16. I have seen it a few days ago and it really touched me. Thanks for spreading this beautiful vid. :)

In other news, our new president has been elected today. He said he would legalize marriage for same sex people if he was. I really cannot wait to see this happen (if he actually keeps his campaign promises).

Hope you had a great weekend guys. And good luck for next week.

    Hugs to you both

    1. I do hope he can keep that promise, although politics being what it is we'll have to wait and see. Still it's good he even was elected with that as part of his campaign.

    2. I do hope so, too, Kaje, even if I have my doubts. When asked on national TV if he was going to legalize it as proposed in his campaign program, he answered that it was not *obviously* the first thing he would do if he was elected because of all the things he would have to do to run our country and blah blah blah, and that he had 5 years to do it.
So I will believe it when I will see it.

  18. Hi Brad and Matt. I just Tweeted this, but it does give credit as having come from your blog. I hope that soon marriage will be simply marriage; not gay or straight. I think that people like both of you and hopefully people of my son's age will have a world and country much better than the one we currently live in. If I'm really lucky, I'll get to see it yet in my lifetime. :-)
