And I suddenly realize that this is what you face every day...and my heart breaks...and I weep...

I am a better person...a richer person...a more sensitive and caring and loving person...because of you...
You have opened the window to your lives and let us peer inside... You have not hidden the mess, the anger, the pain...
BUT...
You have shown us how love, and courage, and truth can prevail... You have taken us by the hand and shown us what it is to live in a world that seeks to limit the beauty of your love...of your hearts

I cannot find the words to express the depth of love I have for you both...you are precious to me...
I am so proud to stand in this moment, in this place, and say that I know these two boys...and they are in love...and their love has changed my world...that I am who I am because of who you are...

OMG..you guys literally have me in tears now. That was truly beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time. I am almost at a loss for words after seeing this. You guys know I love you and how very special I think you both are. You have been an inspiration to me since I first found your blog and you both prove a little more each time you let us peek into your lives how truly loving someone can prevail over anything. Don't ever doubt how strong and brave you both are and how much you are loved!
Sadly it is too true that many of us take these little things, holding hands, kissing in public, just being close to the one you love, for granted without a thought to those who have to struggle to do this. It's not right and it's a real shame that people can't see that love is love, no if's and's or but's. I am so very proud of the two of you for always being yourselves and for showing the world who you both truly are and how much you both truly love one another. Don't ever stop being yourselves. Love you guys! HUGS
So lovely and sad together; inspiration and a reminder of how far we have yet to go. The faces in the video are a graphic demonstration that there is pain and there is hope, there is sadness and yet there is joy.
You two together add your presence, your words, your lives onto the side of the scales that is weighted toward love. May it one day tip and spill over into acceptance for all.
"I am who I am because of who you are..." That's a true statement of love. But in a smaller way, we are all changed by the lives we touch. Through your words you have touched many and enriched them all. Not least of all mine. Thanks for posting that.

Thanks for this piece! I remember back in September, 2007 when I 1st heard Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis and said to myself, "yeah , this is one piece that feels just right for everyone..." I'd also recommend "so beautiful" and "cruel, cruel world" by Darren Hayes, amazing songs and amazing lyrics.
Beautiful. And I so agree with the comments... to be shunned for simply showing love to someone, no matter who, is a shame. And I too applaud you two for sharing your lives with us. It's not always roses and sunshine, but it's love.
