The Italian gay rights group, Arcigay, has released a video whose message needs no translation.
In it, a gay couple is able to stand before supportive friends and family and get married. But the video is more of a dream because Italy doesn't recognize any form of same-sex partnership, nevermind marriage.
It's a beautiful video nevertheless. Neither of us knows Italian, but you don't really need to know the words to the background song to see how beautiful this really is.
Thank you so much for sharing that. It was truly beautiful to see such love and support despite what may go on around you(like the two of you might I add)! Maybe it's just me or maybe I'm just having an emotional day but I was in tears by the end of that!
ReplyDeleteIt's truly sickening the intolerance people have in this world! We are who we are and everyone should be able to express themselves without having to worry about what someone will say or do. Everyone in this world has the right to find that one true love they are looking for and it shouldn't matter where they find it so long as they are truly happy! Sorry for the little rant, like I said I think I'm having an emotional day today. Thanks again for sharing that amazing video.
