He's written a Guest Post on First Encounters and Lasting Impressions where he talks about some of his first encounters with M/M romance books in high school. Then he shares what kind of Heroes he looks for now, and mentions an especially important book that's made a lasting impression on him.
I got to read the whole thing before he sent it in, except for what he wrote right under the title. He only showed that to me last night. When you see it you'll understand why we went to bed early, but, well... didn't get much sleep.

Sounds intriguing...I'm excited to see what Matt had to say...and what could possibly send two young guys to bed soooo early...lol
ReplyDeleteHeading over now.
Loved the post. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was a great post and I can see why you went to bed early. :)
ReplyDeleteWOW. This dedication, just wow... *sigh*
ReplyDeleteLoved the post too :) And have added Clear Water to my TBR list.
*hugs to both of you*
Excellent job Matty. And, the dedication was wonderfully sweet.
ReplyDelete*hugs*
Thank you so much everybody. The comments people are leaving on the guest post have been amazing. It's always hard for me to take in positive compliments but just know each one means the world to me. And yes, writing that one line dedication was something from the depths of my heart and made the whole post possible. I love you guys.
ReplyDeleteRead both posts and I was all like, "damn this is so cool." Glad I found you guys.
ReplyDeleteHi Dale. Welcome aboard!! ;)
DeleteWunnerful post, Matt! :) XX
ReplyDeletesent you a note Matty--so very proud of you...
ReplyDeleteJust made your acquaintance through Chicks 'n Dicks. Following you now. :) Hi.
ReplyDeleteHello Fenraven!
DeleteAh Matty, that was wonderful! Take all those positive comments and wallow in them for a bit!!
ReplyDeleteYou got me all choked up when you started talking about the ADHD and finding someone who can deal with it. Love you guys! MWAH!
I just read Matty's blog at 'Chicks and Dicks' and was mightily impressed at the eloquence and articulation of the piece. I'm a retired teacher from Scotland and came across your blog via Amy Lane. I hope you're aware of her other books which are also phenomenal.
ReplyDeleteCan I wish you two all the love in the world? - LTRs are wonderful things as I can attest to - you sound like 2 lovely young men!
Ian.
Hi Ian. Thanks so much for your kind words!
DeleteYeah, I recently finished Locker Room, which I loved.
Thanks for sending your love to us all the way from Scotland.
OMG - 'The Locker Room' - that was a tough read and nearly ripped the heart out of me - but very well worth it in the end - I hope Amy has a sequel planned - we could always ask her!!
DeleteIan.
"Ask her" for a sequel? I sent her an email a few weeks ago "demanding" one! LOL. Yeah, it was a difficult book to put down. I'd love to see what kind of future Chris and Xander have.
DeleteMe too!
ReplyDeleteAlso Patrick and Whiskey - I believe she has a sequel planned for our 2 'Clear Water' heroes (see her 'Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.........' blog on 'Goodreads' - if you haven't already!).
Ian.
Read both wonderful posts. I adore Amy Lane. I'm working my way through all of her books and have yet to find one that I haven't fallen in love with. I'm very excited to see she's planning on a sequel to Clear Water! Now, just have to convince her to right one for Locker Room....
ReplyDeleteThat was a beautiful post Matt! You really are a very special person and you don't give yourself enough credit sometimes. Anyone that sees your dedication and enthusiam and doesn't fall in love with you is just crazy! Don't ever stop being you.
